June 14th 2016 - KIM Conference 2016 in Barcelona

On June 14th 2016 ECOWAMA project participated at the KIM Conference in Barcelona, Spain. The KIM conference is the most important technology transfer event in Spain. An event to discover and share new ideas on innovation, financing, marketing, internationalization and more. This year’s motto was “Innovation as a business growth driver” The talks and discussions were about how generating innovative solutions for enterprises in terms of funds, networking, valorization and commercialization of technology can promote your business to grow. 16th September 2015 - Presentation of ECOWAMA project during the “FP7 resource efficiency cluster - final joint event” in Brussels

In the frame of the FP7 resources efficiency cluster final joint event, organized by the European Commission, ECOWAMA has been invited to participate. This event is an initiative of the European Commission and it is dedicated to 18 projects related to eco-innovative technologies, processes, services and products, which started in 2012 with a joint kick-off. We are looking forward to present ECOWAMA and its impact during that event!

24th March 2015 – Successful ECOWAMA Workshop at the Technical University Bergakademie Freiberg

In cooperation with the Technical University Bergakademie Freiberg the ECOWAMA consortium was pleased to host all the participants of its international workshop on “Advanced electrochemical technologies – improvement of environmental and economic efficiency of industrial processes” that took place on March 24th 2015 in Freiberg, Germany.


The workshop introduced the ECOWAMA project to the participants and included expert speeches and discussions in the area of electrochemical technologies, electrochemical waste, ionic liquids, hydrogen recovery and utilization, and many more.

 

EUT invited selected stakeholders that had the opportunity to present their companies and projects as well. All in all more than 50 participants from science, academia and industry joined the workshop!

 

The Workshop concluded with a lively discussion on all subjects presented and offered room for networking during a Lunch buffet.

23rd – 25th March 2015 – ECOWAMA Month 30 Meeting in Freiberg and Halsbrücke, Germany

The ECOWAMA consortium met in Freiberg and Halsrücke, Germany from March 23rd- 25th 2015 in order to hold their Month 30 meeting combined with a project dissemination event – an international workshop at the Technical University Bergakademie Freiberg. The workshop was open for students and scientific staff of the university as well as for interested industry participants. After the workshop the internal project meeting continued. It focused on presentations and technical discussions regarding the status of the final design and construction of the individual units as well as on pilot plant integration details. A highlight has been the visit of the pilot plant location at the facilities of Saxonia Galvanik GmbH.

16th October 2014 – ECOWAMA Month 24 Meeting in Paris

The ECOWAMA project consortium met on 16th October 2014 in Paris to have their Month-24 meeting. ECOWAMA has already reached the middle of the project and all partners presented their technical work and progress reached so far. Afterwards there were technical discussions regarding the future collaborative project work.

 

Furthermore different topics regarding dissemination and exploitation of project results were discussed during this meeting: In fact, the first ECOWAMA project video will be released in a near future. We will let you know about this soon!

 

The ECOWAMA Project proposes a new eco-efficient closed cycle management model for the treatment of effluents of the metal and plastic surface processing industry (STM).
ECOWAMA’s approach combines wastewater treatment with recovery of ultrapure water, highly valuable metals and energy.

 

 

15th October 2014 – Research & Innovation for a circular economy in European Regions

Under the patronage of the Italian Presidency of the Council of the European Union, the Representation of the Region of Lazio and RTD I.2 "Eco-Innovation" organized a one-day conference entitled “Research & Innovation for a circular economy in European Regions”.

 

The conference took place in Brussels on last October 15th 2014. Main subjects treated on the conference were: circular economy, eco-innovation, green skills and new opportunities. Many European Commission Directorate – General representatives participated in the conference holding presentations on above mentioned subjects.

 

The European Commission selected 10 successful projects to present their posters and ECOWAMA was among them.

 

 

6th May 2014 – Fraunhofer IGB welcomed Indian ‘Waste Water Delegation’ for Industry Workshop in Stuttgart

Indo German Chamber of Commerce
The visit of five Indian business people to important waste water treatment plants in the south of Germany and to the trade fair IFAT in Munich has been organized by the Indo-German Chamber of Commerce.

Part of their business trip was visiting the research plant of the University of Stuttgart and participating in an Industry Workshop hosted by Fraunhofer IGB in Stuttgart. The Indian delegation got a glimpse into the future technologies for waste water treatment and got to know the project work of the ECOWAMA Consortium.

 


5th – 9th May 2014 – IFAT 2014

Stand at the globally leading trade fair for water and waste, IFAT, in Munich. Fraunhofer IGB distributed ECOWAMA dissemination material and informed the visitors of the stand about the ECOWAMA project content.
